I'm kind of glad I waited though, because I think I can take so much more from them now. It definitely had an original brand to it. I liked that there were more books, that explored the very different worlds outside of the one in the giver. Though I didn't feel compelled to finish the series.
I am happy that Harry Potter is still so popular so I can enjoy it now and sort of force it on my kids. Muahahaha, they see it as a "old people thing". Haha. It definitely influenced me a lot and whilst they're definitely books that any age can fall in love with them I feel really lucky that I got to read them growing up. I was pretty much the same age as all the kids when I read each book and it made the whole experience so wonderful. I'm so glad you loved them even as an adult though :D It's such a magical series!

I haven't read The Giver, but it's been on my shelf for so long I need to get to it! I didn't even realize it was a series with 3 more books. And yes, I could use one more Hunger Games, they still had some stuff to work out. Also I completely agree with wanting to see Katniss in ten years. We get that little glimpse at the end but it doesn't feel like nearly enough! Plus I'd also like to know more about how the country is functioning after the aftermath of the revolution. Basically I just want another book haha. :) Jen @ Bookloversalliancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13965485597640691964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6597383172586886184.post-74749349894569289852016-05-03T10:48:18.039-07:002016-05-03T10:48:18.039-07:00Great list!
